for over 30 years. Each doctor is a community volunteer, participant
and leader.
Dr. Jeffrey M. Carrel
Dr. Carrel is a 1965 cum laude graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received the college award for the highest four year scholastic average. After completing a surgical residency in Detroit, Michigan he has practiced in Western New York.
He serves as associate chief of podiatric surgery at Sisters Hospital – St. Joseph’s Campus. He has also served as Vice-Chairman of the Sheehan Memorial Hospital Board of Directors.
Dr. Carrel is a past president of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, the American College of Foot Orthopedists and the American Cancer Society, Erie County Unit. |

He has lectured throughout the United States, as well as internationally, and he has authored numerous articles and contributed to multiple textbooks.
He recently served as editor for a surgical textbook produced by The American Foot and Ankle Surgeons. A former member of the State Education Department, Board of Podiatry Examiners for 10 years, he served as its chairman for two years. He continues to be active in residency training programs and was Director of Fellowship Training at Sheehan Memorial Hospital.
He holds a faculty rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Carrel has recently been appointed to the Medical Clinic Advisory Board of the American Running and Fitness Association. He is also currently active in the local chapter of The American Diabetes Association and served as Council President for 2003-2004 as well as Chairman of the Tour de Cure Committee for 2 years and active on this committee for 15 years. Dr. Carrel has recently been appointed to the Western New York Community Leadership Council, American Diabetes Association

Dr. David M. Davidson
Dr. Davidson, a founding partner of Podiatry Affiliates, PC, earned his Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in 1964 and his podiatric degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1968, where he was a member of the Pi Delta National Podiatry Honor Society.
He has practiced in Western New York since 1968. He is a past president of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, the Western Division of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
He has served as a consultant to the Erie County Department of Health and the Erie County department of Social Services. |

Dr. Davidson is also a marathon runner and lectures extensively about podiatric sports medicine in Western New York and nationally. He has authored numerous articles, as well as contributed to several textbooks. He is a member of the staff of the Sports Medicine Institute at The State University of New York at Buffalo, and currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He presently serves as Chief of the Podiatry Section of the Department of Orthopedics at the Kaleida Health System, and was Medical Director at the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Davidson served as President of Temple Beth Zion and also President of the Northeast Lakes Council of the Union for Reform Judaism, the arm of the Reform Movement.

Dr. Kenneth T. Goldstein
Dr. Goldstein attended Ohio State University and graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976, where he received the Shoumer Award for outstanding service to Kappa Tau Epsilon Scientific Fraternity.
He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Western New York, as well as a past president of the American College of Foot Orthopedists and the Western New York Division of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. He has served on the Education Committee of the American Cancer Society, Erie County Unit. |

He has been active in residency training programs, and was the first Chief of Podiatric Surgery at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He has presented scientific papers nationally, as well as locally, and is a contributing author to various podiatric publications. He holds a faculty rank of Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at SUNY at the Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. David Perelstein
Dr. Perelstein is a Buffalo native, who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1984 from the State University of New York at Binghamton. In 1988, he received his degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Perelstein extended his surgical and inpatient training by completing a diverse Podiatric Surgical Residency at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia. He returned to the Western New York area in 1990 as a solo practitioner, and joined Podiatry Affiliates in 1997.
Dr. Perelstein is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. |

He is on active staff in the Department of Orthopedics Podiatric Section of the Kaleida Health System and Niagara Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, New York. He is a longstanding staff clinician and consultant at the Buffalo General Hospital with surgical privileges there. Dr. Perelstein is an active consultant at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital with surgical privileges there and at the Millard Fillmore Surgery Center. Additionally, Dr. Perelstein has surgical privileges at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, St. Joseph Intercommunity Hospital, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York. He currently serves as podiatric consultant for The Schofield Residence and Canterbury Woods.

Dr. Edward T. Fitzpatrick
Dr. Fitzpatrick is the newest member of Podiatry Affiliates, joining our firm in 2008. We warmly welcome Dr. Fitzpatrick to our practice.
Dr. Fitzpatrick graduated from a three-year podiatry residency program at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts – a teaching hospital of Harvard University. He completed that program as Chief Podiatry Resident. While in Boston, he served as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School as a clinical fellow. Dr. Fitzpatrick spent the three years prior to moving to Buffalo practicing at Kaiser Permanente in Fairfax, Virginia. There he served as an attending physician at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia and with the podiatry residency at the hospital.

He currently is on staff with the Kaleida and Catholic Health Systems and is a faculty member at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomechanical Sciences.
Dr. Fitzpatrick will be practicing in our Amherst Office Wednesdays 9AM to 5PM, Thursdays 9AM to 5PM and Fridays 1-3:30 and in our Spingville office Mondays 9-5, Tuesdays 9-5 and Fridays 8-11.
